So many mod projects get shut down because they spend years hyping it up to get donations or just upcummies and social validation and then it gets a DMCA takedown when it's 90% complete. just fucking work on it and release it instead of hyping it up for years, nothing ever gets taken down on the internet. While some degree of publicity might be necessary if you need to attract volunteers, don't overdo it!
