Unpopular opinion, I know:

Witcher 3 was barely above mediocre at best. Garbage controls especially on your retarded horse, garbage questing system, clunky and obnoxious item system, rewards for exploring were non existent, storyline wasn't compelling. I've had the game on PS4 for about 4 years and everytime I think "I should complete that" I'm over it again in about 2 hours. About the only redeeming qualities I can think of is the pretty environment and comedic dialogue.

I guess growing up as a Nintendo kid caused me to have actual standards when it comes to video games. Wake me up when somebody makes a Final Fantasy 3(I know, 6)/Lufia 2 tier RPG worth actually playing.

Witcher 3 was good on the PC but it wasnt as good as Witcher 2. Witcher 1 had poor UI but was otherwise pretty good. In Witcher 2 you can have fun with whores, in Witcher 3 you had a plotline that could have been good but wasnt because there already was too much SJW crap.

Which reminds me that almost all triple AAA games without graphics and triple AAA budgets would be poorly written visual novels with bad plot and bad writing. Dark Souls is an exception but does not feature a "complex" story.

whats cool about dark souls is that the story is so vague that you have to fill much of it in with your own imagination. youre given a beautiful world to explore, with epic monsters and few and far in between npcs to give a little more depth to the story, as well as items with lore. much like a good book, youre really guided towards creating the story in your mind

Same. It does have its moments though. For me personally was the quest with Yennifer and breaking the love spell between you two. Once it was broken I told her that I felt nothing and the love was solely from the spell. The quiet moment after, when two people both realize there is nothing left between them except memories, was especially on point.

"reward for exploring are non existent" . "storyline wasn't compelling" LOL.. either you haven't played more than ten hours in or you're a jrpg tard whose idea of a compelling story is sephiroth killed areis!!!!!

No, I've got probably 100 hours of so in. Some master Witcher gear, level 28 or something. This may come as a surprise to you, but just because you like something doesn't mean everybody else must. Chasing after ciri isn't all that interesting, because she isn't a very interesting character. Neither is Geralt nor yeniffer as far as I'm concerned.

Funny, you didn't address my more objective criticisms like the dog shit character controls and obnoxiously overbearing item system where ~90% of it is useless and pointless garbage.

Witcher 3 just isn't a very good game, despite what game journos told you. It's no MGS5, no Dark Souls. It doesn't even measure up to last gen games like wind waker or Metroid prime

i disagree, therefore, i win this argument.
