Kiwi Farms is currently being DOSed, probably in relation to this whole incident. If you go to the site right now, there's a message giving details that sow doubts in the story being pushed on sites like Reddit and Twitter. A twitter user posted a google doc explicitly blaming Kiwi Farms for harassing Near, but no evidence of such harrasment was actually presented. Subreddits like /r/emulation will downvote you into oblivion if you don't support taking down Kiwi Farms or even have any doubts on the story. I especially love how vitriolic redditers are acting, as if their website is above harassing people. Oh, and would you look at that; Liberto has various other sites on their hitlist.

The tranny was a mental case and would have offed itself at some point anyway. It's just more liberal lunatic projection of passing the blame instead of addressing severe mental disease. The nutcase has discussed suicide numerous times in the past, so this was really expected.

I knew him way back and was sad finding out about this, but the more I read about it the murkier it becomes. From what I can see Kiwi Farms isn't all that bad, and all the evidence Null posted doesn't support the claim that they pushed him to suicide. It's understandable that after this (especially the emails with Null), members are pissed off and lashing out.

It seems plausible that this was an attempt to disappear himself and be left alone by everyone, maybe have a legal name change. Whatever confused stuff he was involved in, it's still sad (if true) to see someone with such technical ability go.

I'm hoping there is some clarity and it doesn't just stay ambiguous like this, e.g. the promised passport photo being posted (not that would prove anything about whether he is dead or alive).
