The inflated stock market parallels the lead up into Wiemar collapse. Wealthy Germans converted soon to be worthless Papiermarks into shares of a corporation to hedge against currency debasement.

But, the major difference now being the lack of divident returning stocks.

Billionaires are liquidating stonks, the hedge had a story a few weeks back that people like Buffet and Bezos are rotating into cash positions, using the record highs to lock in serious gains.

If the US goes full Venezuela then the stock markets melt up while the currency inflates to Wiemar levels

Another possible scenario though is that the de-population conspiracy theory is true. This would create a stock crash and major deflation letting the cash rich buy up real assets for pennies on the dollar

You're saying I should buy more crypto?

[–] 2 pts

lol :D

I'm saying invest in skills and community. If you want to make speculative plays in crypto know that you are gambling. It isn't real wealth, but it can be lucrative and can still currently be rotated into real wealth. I'm not sure of the medium term. Short term, lots of volatility to gamble with. Long term, the potential future of money.

That's pretty much exactly what they're saying. Buy more BTC, guns, ammo, and precious metals.

In harsh times, gold and silver and gems retain their value.

Why would elite hold cash in anticipating inflation? Perhaps I'm erroneously combining your first two paragraphs. I had not considered the depopulation effect on deflation. Thanks for insight.

Yeah, two scenarios in my post. You are correct no billionaire would hold cash in a high inflation scenario. The thing is who knows WTF is going on. 10Y ostensibly says low inflation but then the Fed are suppressing rates to fuel the debt, but the suppression creates a higher inflation environment as they have to print to buy the bonds to suppress the rate and you have a counter productive feedback loop. Unless people are buying the reward free risk of overpriced bonds which is possible in my mind if the elites are willing to keep feeding the beast they can reverse flows from off shore back to the treasury/fed. But we still have a misleading CPI print and real world price increases that indicate high inflation.

It is still to early to call. I think during the next flu season we will have a clearer picture but even a mass die off could have inflationary effects as you would have even fewer goods and services available and a per capita increase in currency units. Maybe all this debt creation is simply trying to fight deflationary effects already present.

I'm glad you found my previous comment food for thought, I hope this one is too

Buy a stock, paint it red and it automatically goes up in value!
