Chip shortage. Affects basically all tech

I know a guy who bought a series X from someone in Canada and had it shipped to him. The seller told him they have plenty of them in stock in stores.

I work in a place that sells both. That was the excuse were were told by our supply chain.

Scalpers are hoarding systems.

Sales are through the roof but software sales are super low. People are speculating most systems sold haven't been activated.

Slightly off-topic, but I wonder -

Every system of the previous generation has so many good games that you won't run out any time soon, at continually dropping prices, that I don't really understand why people want next gen when it's still so hard to get. Maybe it made sense back in the day, since there were huge jumps in technology between things like the SNES and N64, for example. But I hardly see the difference between early PS5 games and good PS4 games, so why do people blow so much time and money trying to get the expensive system with a smaller library?

Sure, there are people with plenty of money who just want the most cutting edge gaming tech... but in that case, wouldn't it make more sense to have a high end PC? Why don't folks just wait a few years until the next gen systems are cheaper, widely available, and have a big selection of good games?

microchip shortages, right now the want for microchips vers the production is 30% higher than the output, so the shortages keep compounding. to make matters worse scalpers saw they could make a mint in this situation so the the limited stocks were more limited. I made a twitter account to follow some accounts that post all the ps5 and xbox drops, and usually that shit sold out in under 5 minutes everytime. It's going to be like this for at least a year more till the next factory is completed and opperational, the shortages are hitting anything with microchips, so car manufacturers are closing down shops due to not being able to finish any of their builds.

This is the truth.

From the dogshit "supreme" clothing brand, to $300 air jordan sneakers, to GPU graphics cards, reddit scalping communities are duping hundreds of thousands of stay at home idiots into participating in the "reseller" game.

Entry level faggots can buy in for $500-$1000 to join a strike group. Upon payment, the faggot is given a DIRECT URL LINK to the merchandise in question - AND the url link is actually for the cart checkout page WITH the merchandise in your cart, ready to click pay.

This ensures that reseller group members can purchase "hot" or "limited run' merchandise before normies can browse to the site, add the item to their cart, and buy it.

Online resellers are a bunch of fucking faggots.

It's the only reason the "supreme" brand is a thing - artificial scarcity and artificial perceived value due to artificial price gouging - but the people who buy this cheap Chinese shit for thousands of dollars think they are so icey dawg.

The reddit reseller communities are taking aim at GPUs again - so fuck those pieces of shit.
