I don't know about the newer models but I have repaired over 100 Nes/famicom units and quite a few 2600s. If you can explain the problems you are having I can walk you through what to look for and you could do it yourself with mild soldering experience and being able to use a multi-meter.
The Nes is for sure 99 percent sure the Nes10 chip and/or the edge connector, the nes10 chip is the encryption chip they installed that has a corresponding chip in legit carts to make a handshake and boot. You can simply snip a leg off and tack it to ground with a resistor and it will work every time. Let me know and I will help you out with links or advice.. You can do it yourself for the 8bits.
On the phillips cd-i. the coax for the input came off the board on back of system. But it has a svideo output I will try before taking it apart just saw and need to buy a svid cable.
Sure ur right abt the nes that shouldnt be a hard fix
The sega gamegear the screan only clearly visable with contrast on full and stilll have to tilt it downward but clear tilted that way and sound does not work. No issues with cartridge loading.
Not sure prob with atari.
