WTF? "Selling cheats" = crime?
I mean, I get that this happened in China and I don't have an understanding of the laws in China, but what?
In the US, at worst, this would be a civil lawsuit between two companies for a TOS violation. Obviously, piracy would be a criminal activity under US laws, but that's not what is being discussed here.
I guess the author assumes that "things I don't like" = crime.
Obviously, from this statement you can kinda grasp the limited knowledge:
Kunshan police found and destroyed 17 cheats
Yes, officer, this is the only copy of this file. I haven't sold / distributed this to anyone else and there are no backups, I promise!
Retard.
IANAL, so I'm just going to wing this with the first page of Google searches.

and
So, as a lay person, I'd say if the cheats are unlocking something that would otherwise be obtained through in game premium/freemium currency, that is theft of the intellectual property because it is done without the creator's consent? Manipulation of PvP matches to skew rewards would essentially be the same thing, you double your win rate you essentially halve the revenue the developer would earn in the time it would take for you to earn the rewards, burn out the dopamine cycle, and lose interest in the game?
none of that is criminal tho in the USA
civil cases at best
Yeah I don't really understand the legality of it either.
I've heard that cheating in games in South Korea is illegal, but I never looked into it.
That is precisely why South Korea is not BEST Korea!
Meanwhile, antifa fags do as they please.
yeah.... came here to say pretty much all this
this reads like bullshit to me
17 cheats
