DOOM is one of the few games I play when I have free time. I played DOOM 2016 just fine but DOOM Eternal on Steam will not load for me at all. I have 16 minutes play time without seeing the title screen at all. I can play GTA V and other such games on Steam just fine but DOOM Eternal won't even load.

What do I need to upgrade on my PC to play it?

Processor AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1090T Processor 3.20 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti Motherboard ASUS M5A97 R2.0

DOOM is fun for what it is. Noita looks nuts and vaguely reminds me of Lode Runner. I've been trying out Ori and the Blind Forest

Ori is good. I have played it.

Hollow Knight is my favorite metrovania possibly ever. Hyperlight drifter is good too.

Yeah I will eventually nerd out over Doom Eternal. Once supply and demand stabilize.

Ori is a great game. There's a sequel if you're interested, I haven't played it personally but it seems to be highly rated.
If you like that genre (Metroidvania) there's a lot of other games that don't need a huge graphics card. Ghoat 1.0 is good, Guacamelee is a lot of fun, Strider is great, and Unepic is fun as well. There's also Metroid randomizers, which take a Super Metroid ROM and shuffle all the items around, so it's the same gameplay but different item order. Plus there's a version that mixes it with Zelda A Link to the Past, such that you find Zelda items in Zebes and vice versa, and there's portals to switch between the two games.

Zelda A Link to the Past

Goodness gracious I feel so old reading that. I played that on my older brother's original Gameboy. The last Metroid game I played was Metroid Prime on the Gamecube and that was really fun.

RimWorld is a fun one for random stories
