You’ve all probably heard the news that Microsoft acquired Bethesda recently. What’s interesting is that Microsoft also owns Obsidian now, which means Obsidian is now a sister company to Bethesda and can work on their IPs.

In other words, how good do you think are our chances of getting a New Vegas sequel? Since they’re currently working on Avowed, a game that takes place in their Pillars of Eternity universe, we probably won’t see anything like that until 2025 at the soonest.

I quite like the possibility of obsidian working on some of their IP's, and that avowed looks like it could be alright, kinda like and elder scrolls not set in tamriel,

I’m confident we’ll see more news on this by 2024 at the latest. It’s very ambitious and trying to compete with the Elder Scrolls series.

Another one you might want to keep your eye on is . The gist is that it’s being made by the guys who made the first two ES games: Arena and Daggerfall.

oh aye be keepign an eye out for that, proper rpg's seem to be making a bit of a comeback now just wish larian would pump out some new acts for bg3 lol

Given that Avowed is set in the same universe and world as Pillars of Eternity, no thanks. If it ends up being closer to the original Pillars, maybe. But given how they decided to shit over everything in 2 and caved to demands and changed some of what made the first game great I won't hold my breath for it.
