I currently have a gtx 1080.

I'm looking at upgrading to a 2080ti or maybe even a 3090 as the 3090s are just a few hundred more than the 2080 and is a biiiiiiig performance jump up according to the shit I've been watching.

Is it worth it? the 1080 is becoming obsolete. I have a 4k monitor but play my games at 1440p because the 1080 (as well as just about anything else except maybe the 3090, but even it can't get 60fps doing 4k on maxed out settings for these high-end games I want to play. But at 1440p the 3090 or maybe even the 2080 or 2080ti would be enough.

Or is there an AMD option that is much better than the 1080 but cheaper than the Nvidia options? I don't know shit about AMD cards.

I might. However, I can return it for no money to me (I think) and replace it with a 1440 native laptop with a 3080. Those are scarce right now, but I can wait and use my two years old model. I've also thought about trying the eGPU thing with said older laptop. If u know anything let me know.

Oooo that's a good idea. 4k is overrated anyways.

So the bad part for me is Razer doesn't offer a 1440p model with a 3080. They do offer with 3070, but if I'm swapping anyways I thought the looks good.

I have been really happy with Razer build quality. So I'm not sure yet. Anyways I'm sure everyone is really interested in my story :) so I'll stop going off now.

I've always liked Asus's gaming laptops. Used to have one. Used it for years.
