I'm one of those people that really didn't enjoy BotW as much as others did. I just found the world to be too empty and too slow and cumbersome to traverse through. Not to mention how weapons and shields just completely shatter with no way to repair them. I hope for the sequel they shrink down the world by 75% with more things to do besides finding teeny side dungeons and finding korok seeds. It'd also be nice if they give us more traditional 8 big dungeons as well (more than 8 would be very welcome too).
Also, they do come up with new IPs every now and then. For instance, Splatoon last generation, ARMS this generation. With that said, I wish they eased off on the Mario spinoffs and Zelda ports and give some love to some of their other franchises, especially since they have plenty. We haven't had an F-Zero game in ages, and it's been 8+ years since the last Kid Icarus game. I know Metroid Prime 4 is under development, but we still have no idea how far along it is. The last one came out over 13 years ago.
Now I'm dreaming of a current gen F-Zero.
