Each forum is modded by the owner/publishers of the game which the forum is attached too, with little actions done by valve. So it's either a wild west, or an over reaching faggot fest. Also, there are no limits against the mods power, even when following every rule to the letter, a publisher was still able to ban me from their forums, and valve all but shrugged their shoulders and told me to fuck myself when I complained.

Never thought it would be on that level, but now I think you're right. Even some mild criticism gets lots of flack there and it's probably shills gatekeeping. Had some experience there with some timid shit but they overplayed their hands with how hard they hit back.
