Its funny because I have been going backwards. I started out gaming on a high end 1080ti/3700x gaming PC a couple years ago. Then I started fucking around with ps4 and psvr. Also oculus Quest vr. Now I have settled into ps3 and original xbox. By a HUGE margin I enjoy 6th and 7th gen gaming the best. Games seem better quality. More creative, better stories and the graphics are still great. I can also buy games all day for a buck. So my friends I guess I'm a retro gamer.

I also don't like to spend $60 on a game. I certainly can afford to and even think it's a reasonable price but on ps3 I can go to Gamestop and come home with 10 games for $10-$15. This encourages me to try games that I would never even consider typically. Bioshock being one of them but as it turns out I really like a lot of these games that I never would have considered before if I were paying $60 per game.

True but i can find a ton of cheap games to play on pc too.

Yes but cheap on PC is like $10-$20 for big games. Every once in a great while you can find a popular title for cheaper but not many. 70% of ps3 games are now .99. The next game I buy for PC will be Dying Light 2. Dying Light was probably my favorite game.
