Its funny because I have been going backwards. I started out gaming on a high end 1080ti/3700x gaming PC a couple years ago. Then I started fucking around with ps4 and psvr. Also oculus Quest vr. Now I have settled into ps3 and original xbox. By a HUGE margin I enjoy 6th and 7th gen gaming the best. Games seem better quality. More creative, better stories and the graphics are still great. I can also buy games all day for a buck. So my friends I guess I'm a retro gamer.

Obsolete in a year
Console gens relevant for 5+ years
Console is a one time cost of less than 1k

Lol if you think a 3090 with a 5950 will be obsolete in a year, you have no idea what your talking about. Lol keep playing your very outdated consoles fag, seems like more your speed.

I went back. 2 or 3 years ago my 3700x/1080ti build was the best of the best. I went back.

I enjoy ps3 far far better than my gaming PC. New games are pretty but not very good. Also in reality a PlayStation 3 isn't a huge step down from current-gen graphics.

The major improvements are Shadow detail, lighting effects and stuff like that that doesn't have a big impact on the game.

7th gen is better

That’s a pretty nice build even for today. Yeah I feel like consoles are just more causal and relaxing. PlayStation has those exclusive releases too. I definitely understand your sentiment. Considering I just play rust on my pc lol.
