Not quite in that age bracket. Gen X. My fist actual computer was a Sinclair Z-80, which was a kit that required actually soldering the components together. Black and White alphanumeric display. After that I got a fancy full color Commodore VIC-20 , which was the predecessor of the C-64. Had a whopping 16k of RAM as I recall.

Wow, I don't know any of those names. I don't really remember the internet not existing. The idea of having to go to a library and find a book if you wanted to know something is nuts.
