Download Project64 and a bunch of Nintendo 64 roms, lol. Or Dolphin for Gamecube (and I think Wii).

If you're going to get an actual console, I'd probably do a Switch and just get them Minecraft. There are some other kiddy games as well. Mario Odyssey and BoTW and stuff like that, might be too much for a 5 yo.
