I just paused, took a deep breath, realized I could just force kill the program and never listen to that sound again. So that's what I did. No regrets.

This is what I did after being thoroughly irritated playing RDR2, and the final straw from me was when I needed to drop 30 items from my inventory and found out that I needed to drop them ONE. AT. A. TIME. by holding a button for 1.5 to 2 seconds each.... quit the game and refunded it back at best buy. I fucking HATE RDR2 as a game... 4.5/10

I don't buy games anymore unless I actually play them through. So I haven't bought any in years. Gotta go buy a copy of Assetto Corsa and Forza though.

I downloaded RDR2. I played the first mission, scouting around with Micah. Got to a spot I thought was safe and quit. Later that day loaded it up and had to play that entire mission over. Ok fine, whats 15 minutes of my life worth? Just ride around on this horse in a white pine tree wasteland looking at the god rays and mist effects or whatever the fuck... whatever...

Then I got to the train mission. After setting up the dynamite I go back up the hill and wait. And wait. and waaaaiiiit. I didn't realize I was supposed to stand next to the gang leader. I just shake my head and keep going. Then it stalls. So I do it all over. It stalls again. 2 more times, 2 more stalls. Seems to happen when one of the last guys comes off the train and as I shoot at him.

I also downloaded Cyberpunk. I was less interested in that than I was in RDR2. After seeing that the 'hide/stealth' mechanics would put me behind a box with my head fully exposed getting shot again and again, and the only other option was to roll out of cover and get shot in the back or keep getting shot in the side of the head, I just let my character get shot to death and force quit. None of the characters were compelling, I chose a female character and she was brash and abrasive and cocky (might have been the extra large cock I put on it) and I dreaded hearing whatever was going to be said in a cutscene.

I forget whatever was happening in that storyline, and had no real desire to load it up again.

I assume people actually enjoy games like these, and don't just play them out of extreme desperation and boredom, but I just can't see it for myself anymore.
