Just a FYI or PSA - there was some discussions elsewhere out there about how horrible the drift is and that one can open a repair case with Nintendo and they'll fix or replace for free. I sent four total controllers because all four were total shit.

Well, I received them and now have happy 7 and 9 year old's - paid absolutely nothing. They replaced two and fixed two.

Yeah, I researched that too - it looked super easy and the parts are cheap. But since Nintendo does it free, which is cheaper than cheap, I went that method.

If it recurs, I'll probably just do it myself.

I think so. My kids ripped through a few of them before the free fix deal came to my attention. It was disappointing to see such frailty from a Nintendo product.

I remember my old Gameboy made the Nokia phones look like Faberge eggs by comparison.
