They’re a cinch to repair. The initial toolkit is $10 with a stick included, and the replacement parts are $4 apiece. Total time to fix after you get the hang is about ten minutes.
Yeah, I researched that too - it looked super easy and the parts are cheap. But since Nintendo does it free, which is cheaper than cheap, I went that method.
If it recurs, I'll probably just do it myself.
