This same process applies to societies and nations. That's why even if our countries get back on track, that alone doesn't guarantee that they'll stay on track. What needs to happen, if somehow we pull up from this civilizational nose-dive, is every consecutive generation needs to be reminded of what can happen to society if they're not vigilant and discriminatory. Fortunately, that will be easier in our modern time since we can show them video proof.
