I think everyone would want a double barrel shotgun because of how cool it is.
i'll keep your recommendation in mind. i want a shotgun that takes common, abundant ammo though. What am I looking at if that's what I want?
Double barrels are for fun. It holds 2 shots. If you what protection, choose mossberg giving 7 in the barrel and 1 in the chamber. Plus the sound of it racking would put bad guy piss on the floor.

KelTec Bullpup seems badass. Takes 12 gauge. Never shot one, but I like the bullpups... very compact.
Kinda gay. My last room mate had one. You have the rack the fuck out of the slide to get the next round in battery. Reports of people blowing their fucking hands off because of this and shitty forward grips. Benelli or Mossberg is way better and more reliable. Keltec makes cool plastic pieces of shit.
