Look at the photo of their development team and try not to laugh!!
I'm not sure CDPR is going to survive this. They should be planning their next game. Instead, they're going to be forced to spend the next 3 years fixing a broken piece of garbage that will be largely forgotten in 3 months. Hello Games was eventually able to cobble together a functional game with No Man's Sky, but only a fraction of their original fans ever played it, and NMS wasn't anywhere near the level of complexity and hype as Cyberpunk. I foresee layoffs in CDPR's future, and possibly a sell-off if they can't un-tarnish their reputation. That's a real bummer, and a lesson in "do it right, or don't do it at all."
I haven't pre ordered a game or gotten a new game at release in year cause of the constant broken games at launch. Wait till I hear about it after its released
I imagine it doesn't matter that they've essentially destroyed their good will in other peoples eyes. All that mattered to them is that they were subversive and progressive. At least they made the playable character a non-binary would be their immediate defense.
And they call it progress... lol
They fucked up years ago, high turnover rate and no technical talent (not to mention wokeness in the workplace), who would want to join a sinking ship? I don't believe they had much going for them before this either, Witcher 3 had too much input lag for me to even play more than a few minutes.
I think they just had their lucky streak.
I think sometimes people forget that the world of The Witcher was already well fleshed-out in the books by a good writer. CDPR simply adapted existing content to a video game. Turns out, when they try to make their own original idea, it's a flop.
Wasn't Cyberpunk the same strategy? They took that black guy's idea and ran with it? Except this time they bit off more than they could chew, I also remember reading that TW3 DLC was just cut content they finished after release, which would indicate that they never learn.
Well deserved. When it doesn't even run properly on the systems it was announced and advertised for? Then it's all their fault. No one else.
