GTA has a different focus, so it's not really a fair comparison. GTA is ALL ABOUT vehicle physics, mowing down pedestrians, and the like. Also these physics bugs will be ironed out. Some of them already have been. I'm not saying the comparison is completely invalid, just not completely honest.
Open world games have an inherent expectation of interactivity. GTA set the bar very high while Cyberpunk claimed that high bar a decade later and spectacularly did not deliver.
The tachometer is broken for all vehicles, pedestrians just slide and warp around, they half-assed everything. Instead of hiring real talent to develop it properly they asked the janitor's son to implement vehicle physics, this had to be obvious early on which is why I don't buy the "it's not GTA" argument.
But you get to modify your genetalia. But... You get to have big nigger lips.
Fuck Cyberpunk.
The driving is total dogshit. I've specced my character to double jump and have high stamina. With liberal use of hte fast travel points.
