bad coding and lack of database compression/accuracy.
each item could be stored with just a lookup table index # if all the mods are static, or for a range of #'s the mod number with its min and range rolls. most rpg saves are no where near this big. Only thing larger are open world generation saves (entire planets like minecraft/factorio)
