They're in dire straights again, though.

Warframe went YEARS without significant content, but with the release of Destiny 2, they suddenly saw player numbers dropping drastically. In order to try and get people back, they pushed out some VERY VERY unfinished patches (Kuva Liches and Railjack) that were barely even skeletons of content, acted like it was the greatest thing ever, then were confused when nobody liked it. They rehashed a few very old events to try and keep numbers up, even putting the rarest mod in the game on the void trader, but their numbers continued to plummet immediately, and really the only thing that saved them was the quarantine. Nobody had anything to do (Destiny started hemorrhaging player numbers), along with a somewhat well timed new event (with item drops so good you'd have to be an idiot to ignore it. I ignored it), that shored up their numbers for a bit, but they've dropped out of Steam's top 10, where they've comfortably sat since release, and I don't think they'll ever be back.
