My Index headset arrived Friday. The Half-Life Alyx preview content is an amazing environment. Sure it looked cool on YouTube videos, but when I was actually immersed into it, it is a whole new level.

"The Lab" which is pretty much a fun lobby area that lets you access mini-games is a total blast too. The space ship and bow games are so much fun.

I tried Pavlov and seems like it would be fun, but I ended up getting a refund. I could not play it without terrible motion sickness. I'm afraid I might have that problem with games that have you walk vs teleport.

One downside with the Index is the controllers are not wireless. I did not realize this when I bought it. It is still playable of course, but it would be much better if you didn't have to worry about the wires. The headset, which I knew going in was wired, is not an issue. I don't notice that wire at all.

I was blown away by Super Mario Brothers when that came out. We never had an Atari, although I had played at other peoples. So I went from a TRS-80 to the NES and that was quite the jump up. Although those old computers were a lot of fun too.

My first was an NES in 1992 and it was magical I couldn't believe it. I still remember how amazing it was turning it on for the first time when I was 5
