Really haven't heard much about the game. Did it turn out to be a decent title or was it a total sjw jerk-fest?

I pirated it and uninstalled within an hour. There is a subverse permeation of SJWism all throughout the intro segment. Pussy white male is the first character you meet, followed by strong female corporate leader, then you meet the female-voiced space ship AI. I think you are guided to the first quest which is a drunken white male you have to try and help. As soon as you take the quest and go back into the street, there's some diverse female character that steps in and starts belittling that guy. The color scheme for the game is incredibly off-putting, as well. Maybe there are reShade mods out already that fix it. I haven't really thought about the game since I dropped it.

update: I guess this was a thing even early on. https://www.nexusmods.com/theouterworlds/mods/9?tab=images Some of the images look good enough that I'd venture to say it's an essential mod if you wanted to check the game out yourself.

Thank you. I was hoping that Obsidian would have at least been a little more neutral but not surprising with how they drove pillars into the ground.

That art style is way too overplayed and I'm not sure who in the heck devs are implementing it for. Right now i can only assume it's to try to make up for sub-par textures but just about every newerish space/post apocalyptic game is pushing it.

Probably won't give it a go because of the shit sounding story and my gaming rig is in storage. I have a switch, got it in a trade deal, so if it was half-way decent then I'd get it for that but I'll just save my money.

Pure mediocrity that sold purely based on hype and the Obsidian name, even though all the Talent was removed from the company years ago.
