Graphics are just the icing on the cake.

The overall feel and playability of AAA games now is fucking shite.

We've got copypasta game engines, copypasta textures, copypasta game modes, no improvement in npc ai, microtransaction bullshit in full priced games, and a bunch of whiny gender neutral faggots making sure there's nothing offensive in them.

When single devs fresh from school are making better games than multi million $ studios you know something went wrong.

Until recently I have stuck to a few PC games that I've played for years. Sometimes picking up an additional game from Steam. For the most part I have avoided the crap you're describing.

I did pick up a Switch for the kids on Christmas (the last console I bought was the N64), but the Nintendo games have been excellent so far.
