i watched the first 5 minutes, i'll finish later but i use to play comp but i just got burnt out. multiple daily scrims, come home, sit and play play play

switched to mmos, play play play etc.

most games just bore me now they all seem like a mod of another game. i will say tho the game paladins hooked me for awhile then i just got tired of it

i still do think gaming is a huge bubble despite the hype it has

i think it more that getting older, and really dont care

rambling

Theres the issue, playing competitve. I havent played competitive in years and enjoy gamin much more. I still like shooting games like TF2 but never play comp anymore. (Overwatch too for a while but Im done with that cancer bullshit now)

Ive had fun playing modded minecraft, skyrim, kerbal space prog, and factorio and such. Nintendo switch games have been alright too.

Perhaps take a break from gaming for a while and try some slower paced games if you come back.

naw i tried taking a break, the flame just isnt there anymore... like i said I recently played paladins (much like overwatch) for awhile i just got sick of all the changes that they would do that would cripple... bleh i wont get into it. you know what i mean.

i played comp a long time ago in RTCW

after that i hit mmos etc

TF2 i have like 1.5k hours logged, i would crush as demo (actually every class but snipe pyro spy)... actually tf2 still gives me that flame again, then i go bleh. i lost it

i just dont have it me anymore i just dont care, must be tha age thing

I really enjoyed watching this guy's vid. The future of gaming as it arose in the mid-80's to mid-2000's is definitely not in the industry, but with the independent developers. Obra Dinn was probably my favorite game from 2018 and Katana Zero for 2019. Sad times, but that's just spurring me to get more involved with modding projects and maybe eventually develop some stuff of my own. Open source is pretty amazing these days.
