Intel still comes out slightly ahead in frame rates. It doesn't seem like the difference matters anymore, since they're so close. Also, AMD won't force you to buy a new mobo if you swap out the CPU next year for a faster AM4 chip. Still, if a customer came in today and wanted the fastest game machine made for them, i'd go with the Core i9.
