I still haven't gotten past the hump of figuring out the interface. Not that it's too difficult, but learning the UI and how it relates to the game is a normal part of any game. I recently picked up Oxygen Not Included (which many say is a simplified version of Rimworld) and it is great! So I may take the plunge and force myself to get over it because it seems like a great game.
Yeah this by far was the biggest learning curve. The UI. When you know how it all works it's easy. The biggest thing new players should know is you can queue up tasks by holding down shift. This is never taught in the tutorial and it makes a big difference. Also you should check the health tab every so often to see in detail what is going on with your citizens . You can also perform operations and administer medicine in this same menu. Took me a while before I knew that.
