Second, the whole point of the blue checkmark flair here on poal is to mock how meaningless the blue checkmark was on twitter (and this was before you could pay $8/mo for one). I asked AOU for it years ago as part of a joke between Morbo and I. The best part about it on poal is it makes people less likely to upvote you because of the ((( blue checkmark ))). So, when I get high points on a post or comment, I know it's not because of some familial advantage.
