So as Greenland begins to get smaller, its gravity begins to get weaker, and that water that it holds tight begins to slosh away to faraway places in the world where the gravity is not weakening.

LMFAO!

Whoever wrote this shit is... I don't have the words to express my astonishment. This is supposedly a real article and not an April fools joke. Reality is slipping away from people really quickly. If the vaccine doesn't get them, stupidity will.

Wait!

Climate change is having a profound effect in Greenland, where over the last several decades summers have become longer

Ok, so apparently Greenland has different summer lengths than other countries in the world. I'd love to understand how that occurs. I learned the earth is essentially a sphere and every place on the earth has exactly the same length seasons.

LOL

If you factor in the entire ice sheet, including below sea level

Wait! If you say "The entire ice sheet", wouldn't that normally include the entire ice sheet? Isn't the ice below the water line still part of the ice sheet?

the total ice loss is around 9,000 and 10,000 tonnes a second, he estimated.

LMFAO! Where the fuck are you getting this data from? Did you stop for a microsecond to consider how much water that is? Of course not.

Greene isn't sure exactly how much it's currenlly being weakened, however

KEK. He isn't sure about much. What a total moron.

Oh, there's a lot more humor, I only scratched the surface. This moron thinks that water can be different heights in different places. I guess it never occurred to him that ocean water is all the same height, except for lakes and streams.

It's funny when they worry about sea level rise caused by the melting of ice that is already floating in the Ocean.

Almost every glacier has retreated over the past few decades

Except, that they have started growing again in recent years (although, apparently the glaciers growing again is just more evidence of "Climate Emergency"). Of course they were retreating over the last few decades (the warm phase of the AMO), that's what happens. Then, they start to advance again, but will in net effect retreat over the longer timespan as we are now at a climate optimum which runs on a ~1000 year cycle. Over the next 500 or so years, they would be likely to grow significantly again. It's all cyclic, and these morons can't get past putting a linear projection on a segment that is > 1/2 a wavelength of any significant cycle.
