They are especially stupid for something like a bus. The use case is all wrong having huge batteries. Short travel distance with constant start and stop drastically increases wear and tear. Not only that, they are so fucking heavy they damage the road more too.

Yeah, not only that.. The damn thing is a death trap if the battery is damaged by something as simple as some crap on the road or a really bad pot hole. The "Battery" bus will go up in flames with toxic gas and nearly impossible to extinguish while the Diesel bus will (probably) just get a fluid leak that needs to be cleaned up or in some more rare cases a slow burn that can be extinguished with well known and practices procedures.
