That’s just not true though. In my working days I used cocaine with a fairly large number of my coworkers. A handful of them cooked theirs into crack and smoked it. All of us were functioning members of society despite the occasional partying, and I know of none of them who don’t have what most people would consider completely normal lives now.

I’m not advocating the use of crack, I was always too afraid to take that next step from cocaine myself. But it seems more likely to destroy the lives of the same people who would destroy their lives with alcohol or any other available substance than it does to just automatically destroy everyone who ever tries it.

After all, it was the media and the government who told us it would ruin our lives in the first place, highly trustworthy sources

Its incedible to me that you know people who did crack recreationally in small amounts. Ive only ever seen that work with cocaine and even then only for one or two people.
