I only did jury duty once. It lasted less than a couple of hours from jury election through verdict. It was an idiot young girl who was one of those sovereign citizen types who refused to believe that she needed to have a drivers license r register her car. She tried spouting Thomas Jefferson and John Adams and all that constitution doesn't require me stuff ... prosecutor just said a couple lines of, yeah, ya do ... trial over ... guilty.

I got an easy one.

Of course if that was me, I'd say not guilty, because jury nullification. lmao.

She wanted us to ... LOL. But we, the jury, just said BS, let's go home. Justice at it's finest. They don't let you stay for the sentencing, but my guess is she got a couple hundred bucks in fines and went her way, too. Pissed, but on her way.

I forgot, I did get jury duty one other time. We sat in the courtroom, then the Judge came in and thanked us for our service. I don't know what the case would've been, but whoever took a plea deal just before jury selection. The judge said that happens a lot. And we got credit for serving jury duty, I just wasted another hour or so, and it got me outta duty again.

Some of that sovereign citizen stuff is good on principle, but yeah, good luck in the court system. They don't care, you're going to get screwed.
