I think I figured out the whole reasoning behind a person wanting to be called “they/them”… It’s because they’re possessed by more than one demon. It’s the only thing that makes sense. The same shit happened in the Bible with the Gaderine demoniac. Jesus said “what is your name?”, and he responded “legion, for we are many.” “Legion” is just an old school biblical way of saying “they/them”. As Solomon said, “there’s nothing new under the sun.”
