Let me tell you something, when you think we're on the brink of an extinction level event, you go to the damn moon to confirm it... and confirm it we did when they found black glass all over the surface of the moon. You can listen to the mission tapes confirming as much. They've even found the glass on the Mars, though they call it "Mars Blueberries".
