And it doesn't even taste like cinnamon, like at all.

it's been around for awhile

Copying my previous comment:

To put it in perspective. That Cobalt 60 source, when new in July of '63, emitted enough radiation to give you a 95% chance of death in 50 seconds. Drop and run indeed.

Today, after 60 years and about 11 half-lives, you would exceed the allowable annual dose limit for radiation workers in about 15 minutes. It would take you about a day (23.6 hr) to get that same 95% chance of death dose.

radiation isn't as deadly as they tell the public

according to "science", chernobyl shouldn't be habitable for decades still. Yet, you can find people going to it with geiger counters and showing that the rad levels are almost non-existent.

It's the same bullshit environmentalists pull. The climate model has a range of forecasts between 1 degree cooling and immediate spontaneous combustion of all carbon based life forms. Both extremes have a <.01% chance of happening, but the headline still reads "scientists say everyone will burn to death in 5 years unless we immediately adopt intentional communism."

How did they take that photo?

I dont think digital photography has the same issues with radiation as analog.

I thoughts that was the opposite. I read somewhere that any digital camera will show radiation as static on the image.

cobalt-60, super long half life

[–] 2 pts

Just over 5.25 years isn't that long compared to other half lifes. If that is from 1963, it has gone through roughly 11.38 half lifes.

That's a pretty spicy one, better mix it with some lead sugar.

Everyone is neglecting to ask the most pertinent question: WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH HER FINGERS!?

did a person really do this, please say its just a prop

Ah, so all of those white specks are alpha/beta particles hitting the camera sensor! So, who is this nimnul holding this source of radiation??
