The "savior" is just yet another puppet of the real controllers. If you want to maintain control, you present both the tyrant and the savior from the tyrant. If the populous falls behind the tyrant, you have control. If they rebel against the tyrant, you have control. In either case, the populous maintains the belief that they chose the way forward and remain unaware of the true controllers.

Musk is a transhumanist and seems intent on creating a near total control system through integrated digital ID and currency tied to your social media. This will almost instantly become a social credit score control system that will be used to crush dissent. Any who do not participate in it will be labelled as terrorists and hunted down, their capture and execution being shown on the nightly news as a spectator sport for the masses.

Musk might be doing some good in opening up Twitter from censorship, but Admiral Akbar is screaming in my ear "It's a trap!".
