For a good portion of 2018 the mods over on Reddit were telling users to just "fuck off to Voat already."

They stopped doing that when they realized that "power users"(1) actually were leaving Reddit for Voat and the various chan boards.

Reddit used to have several artists and other users making exclusive original content specifically for Reddit. The site peaked mid to late 2014. The 2016 election broke the site.

(1) This is an old term from back in the Digg.com days. These are the few users that actually frequently post & engage content throughout the day. The keep the subs from stagnating.

Yeah you reminded me of when Digg screwed their users by posting half paid content. It seems that cash tends to screw up every site that had a decent change with NORMAL people in return for cash from not so great sites that just need the exposure replacing the great content with the tepid crap. Yeah Reddit deserves to die in their echo chamber PC world. They'll likely learn when they can't pay the bills but their reputation which is worth it's weight in gold but not reddit gold. I can't believe they haven't changed their logo gateway of the internet because like you said that hasn't been true since around early 2016 when they were paid off by Soros and the DNC to silence people. I was a good poster there and got many upvotes but then all of a sudden the site was inundated with crazy and I mean crazy ass people screaming on how non caring I was stating such a thing. SOmething that would have been upvoted the year before will get you a warning a year later.
