I remember years ago I was staying in Europe with this woman actually Switzerland. And I had been living in an apartment previously that had free heat and hot water. So I would sit in the shower for like an hour just sitting there. The water actually wasn't wasted because the city I lived in recycled the water so the only thing that was wasted was the oil. But going to her place we took a bath together and she put the water so hot I was falling asleep inside and I wanted to get out and she yelled at me saying that this bath cost her a lot of money and that I can't get out yet. I thought that was really peculiar and kind of cringey relationship-wise. I didn't quite understand how if she was that hurt up for money why we had a bath in the first place then. I'd have been fine with another warm shower.
