If you're giving away something that's supposed to be a sacred gift between you and your bonded, ideally to only one person in your lifetime, and giving it away freely to every Tom, Dick and Harry, you are a whore. Period. No sympathy. I don't care what the reasoning behind it is.
If your reasoning is that most of these individuals had a plethora of options and were not groomed, human trafficked, and worked as modern slaves, then I think you are severely naive.
Yeah... blaming women is pretty (((myopic))) considering how everything is designed to funnel people with victim mentality into human trafficking rings.
It's an industry of rape.
I tend to agree with you that there's a bit too much woman-hating in general....
But this woman actually said "I didn't comprehend that doing porn meant I'd have to have sex with people." Then, she made 250ish videos over the next 8 months, meaning she fucked probably 300ish different men in that time period. And at no point during that time did she stop and think- this might really fuck my life up. She was just enjoying all of the attention.
Only when they hit the wall, or when the wall comes into view, do women like this suddenly grow a conscience. And I find it telling that she specifically wants to deny other young women from getting into porn (which I agree with) only after she's been chewed up, value extracted, and shat out. She views younger, prettier women as her competition, because they are.
I agree with her sentiments, but I don't think they come from a genuine place of caring about all of the women who will jump headfirst into the same shallow puddle of cum that she did. It's almost like she's trying to talk to a version of herself, a pre-whore version of herself.
There's always a choice not to be a whore, even if you don't have options.
I never made an excuse for her having been a whore, so not sure why you’re talking to me as if I was 🤷♂️
I’m simply saying that regardless of her past, it is an objectively good thing for her to speak out against that industry. And for the fact that she was in the thick of it, her words will carry an amount of weight behind them that they wouldn’t carry otherwise.
You were implying that a string of "bad decisions" was the issue - when it clearly was not. A bad decision is wearing a orange shirt with a pair of green pants. This was a choice, being lured by the prospect of glamour (which is the realm of narcissists and degenerates) and lots of money (again the realm of narcissists and degenerates).
Tomato tomahto. A bad decision is a choice. She made several bad choices to end up where she ended up. That’s just common sense. Most bad roads people go down originated from a string of bad decisions. It’s not usually just one bad decision.
At this point you’re just arguing for the sake of arguing.
Anyone with a brain can read what I wrote and understand what I’m saying. Not agreeing with my two points is fine, but you’re not even doing that. You’re trying to make it a battle of semantics and I’m frankly not interested.
My two points were simple and hardly controversial:
1) it’s an objectively good thing for a popular ex pornstar to bash the industry as it could serve as a warning to those thinking of entering the industry. This isn’t complicated and generally understood to be a good thing in all sorts of scenarios. Ie, ex junkie trying to keep people off drugs. Ex alcoholic trying to keep people off booze. Ex liberal trying to keep people from being morons. I could go on and on.
2) while she made poor choices/decisions, no one should be past redemption save very few types of offenses (ie child predators). If redemption from mistakes weren’t a possibility, we’d all be screwed. That includes you.
Lots of money is not the problem, the prospect of making it in a short time without any skill (aka in this case your holes) is.
Sadly, one complaining woman won't do much. They complain all the time, so it's a drop in the bucket. The only solution for this is a fascist government making it illegal in the west, or at least highly taxed. Being that we are under full Zionist occupation we are very far away from that
Maybe, but what is for sure is that you can't ban things where a demand exists. (Booze, drugs, shooting a PM in a country with the most strict gunlaws)
Maybe instead of banning Pron we should make degeneracy less appealing and destroy the structures pushing it.
"you can't ban things where a demand exists"
You absolutely can ban things where a demand exists. Humans have been doing it for thousands of years, and still do. Murder is banned in this country, for example. And yet, the demand is quite high in some cities regardless. Same for drugs, etc.
If you mean to say that banning something doesn't put an end to it 100%, then yeah I agree with that because there's always a black market.
But honestly, banning internet porn wouldn't be such a bad move I don't think...at least from a moral standpoint. From a "freedom" standpoint, I would argue the opposite, however.
In any case, I'll put it this way. For a young kid to get ahold of porn right now is far too easy. All they have to do is fire up the phone or computer and there are 10's of thousands of hours of FREE porn. That's an objectively bad thing, there's no way around it.
At least when I was a kid, it wasn't easy to get. Some kid would have to snipe a magazine or video from him dad or older brother. The stores wouldn't sell it to you if you weren't old enough. That is a vastly different world than the one we're in now where any kid can just type in the right combination of letters and numbers and voila!
I am also keenly aware that banning things creates a black market where there is no oversight from a legal perspective... which in the case of say, marijuana, empowers gangsters and cartels..
But sexual exploitation and trafficking is happening anyway precisely to feed the porn demand, even though there is "legal oversight" of that industry. That's happening right now anyway.
So I'm not sure I buy the argument that it will "make it worse" to ban it. Bad shit can and will happen regardless of what we ban, that's true. But just because evil exists doesn't mean you turn a blind eye to it, either.
