This may not be a popular opinion on Poal (judging by the other comments), but I don't see anything funny about this and I applaud her for saying what she said...ok, the only thing I see funny is that her real name sounds like more of a porno name than her porno name. That's funny to me.. but I digress.
Though I tend to agree that making it illegal - though well intended - would likely just drive it underground and result in more victimization than is already taking place. On the other hand, perhaps it should be illegal from a purely principle standpoint...
In any case, yeah obviously the woman made a poor decision (or rather, string of poor decisions) as a 19 year old. So did a lot of us. I certainly did, and it almost cost me my life several times (and perhaps more times than I consciously know about). I was never a porn star, granted, but I've done things I am not proud of.
I think it would be one thing if she were old and used up, and basically quit porn because she was no longer of value to that industry..and then bashed the industry.. that would indicate that she doesn't really have a problem with the industry so much as she is just sour because she's not able to reap the benefits any longer..
But, that doesn't appear to be the case.. by objective standards, she is quite physically attractive and I'm sure she could continue making a profit in porn if she wanted to.. and yet, she has quit.
Most everyone here is in agreement as it relates to the effects of porn on society I think. So if that's the case, why wouldn't we applaud someone who left the industry and is speaking out against it? At least on this one issue, she is on our team, is she not? If her words are able to convince even one girl not to participate in that industry, then she has accomplished something for the net positive, has she not?

That's why I asked about her parents- not just at the moment she decided to become a whore, but her entire life. Where were they when they should've been instilling basic logic into her?
