It worked so well with alcohol and now with various drugs. Making things illegal doesn't stop consumer demand. Teaching people about the evils of the business can reduce demand without giving profits to (worst) criminals.
Ok so why is CP illegal? You want that out in the open too? Is that somehow better than having it underground run by criminals?
Porn is produced and consumed by willing participants. CP involves a participant unable to consent and is rape. Rape should remain illegal, even if done as "entertainment". One is victimless, the other is not. We should not create more victimless crimes, as people will continue to seek their pleasures that harm no unwilling participants. Your BS argument is worthy of a rabbi.
You argued banning porn would just drive it underground so there’s no point. But when confronted on it you quickly changed your argument to it being victimless so it’s okay (which I still disagree with, porn has victims.)
So does banning something work or not? Because you said it won’t work for porn, but it works for CP? Are you ready to admit that banning it is effective?
