It's still not the sort of job you do because of the stuff you'll get out of it. It's more of a sense of social responsibility mixed with a spirit of dedication to mission and *esprit de corps*. The folks who join for the bennies and pay tend to be niggers and White trash, and they tend to drag the whole system down a few notches, and most of them eventually leave with a less than honorable discharge.
