The boomers are anti immigrant and open market until they look at their accounts. Most don't understand the choices they made in the past are affecting their ancestors, if they have any, negatively. They don't understand that you can't get a job in a factory and buy a house, car and everything that goes with it because they decided to prevent worldwide wars through banks/finance.

Boomers have been running things since the fucking 1980s and didn't see what they've done/allowed until 2012ish. And they've only started seeing it because the rot is in their faces when the look at their grandchildren who look nothing like them.

Prove it. Since Nixon opened the door for trade with China, just about all manufacturing has been sent there. Even military equipment components is made there. The San Onofre Nuke plant shut down because Hitachi, a Japanese company usually known for quality, bought pipes made in China. We don't even make our own nuke components!
