An air fryer is just a convection oven that was given a new name for jews to resell an idea people already owned.

Basically true. But an air fryer has more airflow and direct heat than a conventional convection oven. I have an InstaPot Duo which has an additional air fryer lid. It works pretty well actually. You get nice and crispy tendies in half the time.

It's also a space saver if you have a small kitchen like I do. Fitting an actual oven in it is impossible. It's more of a kitchenette that I've crammed a fridge, induction range, microwave, and toaster oven in. InstaPot comes out when needed, sits on the range.

I have to disagree. I have both and the latter does not get my food as crispy and is a lot slower.

omg, I've never owned one, I'm an air fryer virgin apparently. Gotta find me a chick with the right appliances to work on that "if you know what I mean" :)

Once upon a time the place I worked hired a recent Cambodian refugee/immigrant. We were nice to him and tried to help him adjust to life in America. One of the things he asked about were all the fliers of missing pets on all the street posts. He still didn't get it, he asked if it's your pet why would it run away and not come home? So we got him to start bringing some of the flyers in and call the number of the missing pet and tell them in his heavy accent "I found your dog/cat, it was delicious". Good times.
