Fuck him. Fuck his service, fuck him using the name of the corp to advance his bullshit.

This is why grunts aren't know for their thinking. They are however usually known for loyalty and following tradition. Both of which are beyond the reach of this boot.

Just for fun, let's ignore the fact that comma use "rules" didn't exist in the 1700s and accept his bullshit premise. We can test this premise on the same statement slightly reworded:

i.e. John, being a carpenter, needed a new hammer.

Are hammers only for carpenters grunt?

Yep totally. All got from this cock holster was 'something something .... restricting lawful gun access to responsible gun owners'.

The Supreme Court has affirmed more than once that the 2nd amendment applies to individuals. His claim about privately owned weapons by marines is misleading, because it is about possession on a military base. The provost receipt is only for weapons that will be stored on the base. If law abiding citizens are disarmed, only criminals will have guns. Gun related crimes are highest in the most restrictive Democrat cities.

I was practically screaming at my screen when I heard this moron start yapping on this subject. It is pretty gay that professional warriors aren't allowed to keep their weapons where they'd like to on base, but this idiot is completely leaving out that if a Marine were to buy a weapon, say, an ARMALITE RIFLE OOOOOO SCARY, off-base and never intends to bring it on base... never has to get that provost receipt for that weapon.

He has to know this. This makes him seem disingenuous.

Telling misleading half truths to further a lie is bread and butter for Commies. They are trying to sell the "even the military doesn't trust soldiers with weapons" message because most veterans own guns and support the 2nd amendment. I am insulted that he says I am nothing more than a murder chimp when I have a gun in my hand.

Exactly. And even if THEY totally forbid selling weapon to civilians, criminals, lunatics still will find way to get one. Government can't ( or don't want ) to stop drugs and human trafficking how they will stop weapon trafficking? btw. even without firearms criminals and lunatics will still be dangerous. Just look on Britanistan. Although firearms are extremely rare, violent crimes are in rise. Knifes can kill too. Acid attack mostly aren't lethal but leave scares forever.

Yea, model free civilian life after the Marine Corps. What a great idea. I'd love to wake up at 0500 and have my folded shirts inspected for wrinkles. We could take some ideas from prisons too. There are very few prison shootings despite housing some of the most dangerous people. This proves it's not the person, it's the gun.

If we keep trading freedom for security, everyone will end up in a Maximum Security society.

I know why Marines are not allowed to keep their issued weapons or personal weapons in the barracks. Have you ever been in a barracks on a Friday or Saturday night? Imagine a frat house party, but only males and all in peak physical fitness. Add gallons of beer and some liquor. It's like why they have stupid warn labels on things, they learned from past experience that you have to tell some people not to eat the Tide pods, don't hold the toaster while sitting in a bathtub, don't play Russian roulette with a semi-auto pistol .... No imagine all those young Marines full booze trying prove they're the toughest marine on the base. Now mix in weapons....

Source - former Marine that spent too many years in a barracks.

They would shoot up stupid shit, not each other. Bigger issue would be having to recover weapons from the local pawn shops

One year for my re-qual I was at Camp Pendleton. One afternoon we were doing our practice fire and a jack rabbit ran across the range about 20 yards in front of the targets. Almost everybody was doing a mag-dump while the shooting coaches and range officer were yelling and screaming at us. Must have been at least 400 rounds fired at that rabbit, but he made it all the way across and over the berm. Some days were fun.

Why are the marines more restricted in the possession of firearms than the average 18-year-old?

Because marines know how to use firearms well. The people making the rules and laws are afraid of marines and other militery who have been trained in weapons' use. The politicians are afraid of you. The police are afraid of you. Because you know what to do with a hand gun and a rifle. You scare the living shit out of them, especially if you are white.

The Marine’s own you during your term of service. They can send you to your death.

He forgets that “the right of THE PEOPLE shall not be infringed”. The PEOPLE are the militia.

Pussies and Feinstein: Why do civilians need AR-15's?

James Woods: "Luckily the Founding Fathers in their extraordinary wisdom, made it none of your business."

Hold the line. All they have is rhetoric and threats which will get them killed should they impose them.
