The real story was hidden, it didn't kill all of the humans, just the ones that weren't resourceful enough to live on thier own without skynet assistance. Keep your head down, don't ask for anything, and skynet won't know you are there. I didn't see a lot of minority ghettos in that movie. Just sayin
